Title: Need some Fstab help

I need to create a mount point for my scsi tape drive (for use i DAR2).

I know I need to edit /etc/fstab but I don't know how  :oops:

You do not mount tapes. Programs do need a device node file to read tapes, but the system already has the device nodes that they need.

Do you have a scsi host adapter? Was it already installed when you installed the system? If not, you will need an alias in /etc/modprobe.conf.

Backup to tape is working, so it sees my tape just fine. But I need a mountpoint for the tapedrive in dar:

That, combined with the end of the Dar2 miniguide I was given:

Create a mountpoint and setup the fstab entry

Then go to the dar2 menu item in the server-manager to set up the backup job(s).

...tells me that I need a mount point, i.e. /media/tape
