Title: isdn dialup policy

i have a server with pci isdn. I have set office rule medium, outside and weekend short. In the log file i see that every hour the server make a connection. the db configuration is:

AccessType=dialup
ActiveAccounts=4
ConsoleMode=login
ContactEmail=
ContactName=
ContactOrg=
DialupConnOffice=medium
DialupConnOutside=short
DialupConnWeekend=short
DialupFreqOffice=every15min
DialupFreqOutside=everyhour
DialupFreqWeekend=everyhour
DialupModemDevice=/dev/ttyI0

Is possible set the dialup ONLY when there is one demanded from a computer client?

any suggetion?

Hi pelli,
is it possible you are using ntp??
You could try disabling it in the Server-Manager.

hi,

thanks for the answer. I have disabled the ntp service but the server, every hour, dial up the connection. If i set DialupFreqOutside and DialupFreqWeekend a never is correct?

Well, it's good to know that ISDN is working. There were some bug reports that I tried to fix, but didn't receieve any feedback.

If you have configured "never" and it is dialling up, then that is a bug, so please report the problem in the Bug Tracker.

So, you have it configured for "every hour", and now you complain that it dials up "every hour"?

eheheh, yes  :D . I would like that it dialup only when the xp client demand a connection. I don't have a flat for isdn and a call every hour ---> €€€€

i can use other configuration? (ex. every6hour )

I had a problem with udev for make the device (isdninfo, etc.) I resolved with manual make of device
