I may have been a little prejudicial and uninstalled squid after blaming it for my latest web problems. I followed the instructions found elsewhere on this list to uninstall squid:
# /sbin/e-smith/db configuration setprop squid Transparent no
# /sbin/e-smith/signal-event console-save
# /sbin/e-smith/expand-template /etc/rc.d/init.d/masq
# /sbin/e-smith/expand-template /etc/squid/squid.conf
# service masq restart
I found out from my ISP that most of the slow down was due to them still trying to recover from the @home fiasco and they didn't have all the new servers up. I would now like reset squid so that I can see if if works better. How do I reverse what I did above? Do I just need to reset Transparent to "yes" and re-do the other steps?
Thanks,
Blake

Yes, that should do the trick
