Title: Extremely Slow Performance
Post by: keyman0202 on December 06, 2006, 08:22:10 PM
I'm having difficulties with a SME Server7.0.  All was working great, but now it's come to a screaching halt.  I can find a process that is to blame, but I did notice that when it is connected to the LAN, that's when it slows down.

Any ideas?  HELP PLEASE!!

Have you tried ntop? or top to see whats going on, also if it's lan have a look at the traffice using tcpdump or iptraf

My guess is that you have a virus infected computer on your LAN, which is sending lots of mail and keeping the server very busy. But that is just a guess. You should look at your log files to see what is happening.
