Title: Problems with server (httpd) everytime I refresh it
Post by: WEBlance on December 11, 2006, 10:54:10 PM
Hi,

I upgraded my SME from 6.0.1 to 7.0 wich caused some problems with contribs installed on the old system. My main problem is that everytime I refresh/restart the system the httpd.conf gets overwritten by some old and bad conf. I've solved this problem by manually overwriting the httpd.conf with a working one.

How do I stop this? The problem occurs every time I install updates, create Ibays and so on...

You should check to make sure you don't have any bad templates-custom fragments that are incompatible with SME 7.  Check in /etc/e-smith/templates-custom/etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf.

It would also be helpful to know what contribs you had installed that you removed, what contribs you now have installed, and what the bad lines are in your httpd.conf that you have to keep overwriting.
