Title: SME 6 - Email issue
Post by: peterich on December 12, 2006, 04:33:44 AM
I have no experience in SME 6 and our network administrator has left.

All emails are being forwarded to one user and headed "Message put into problems directory".

Any suggestions as to why and how to fix it?

Could it be a virus?

Moving this topic to the SME 6 forum, it is more appropriate there. Thanks!

Only the person left would know why they did it, check the emails are they spam so its acting like a spam trap?

I think so.  In desperation I turned off the spam filter and the email is now working.  Not entirely satisfactory as I don't understand why.

I did notice an email from "Cron Daemon" which said "Couldn't read directory /home/e-smith/files/users/rsmith/Maildir/;junkmail/new at /usr/bin/spamfilter-stats.pl line 455, <ORIGINAL> line 103."

I did a search on the topic of emails being sent to problems directory and an old entry recorded a similar problem because of a full directory.  I guessed that a spam directory was full ... but it was only a guess.

Any ideas?
