Title: Change default SMTP port 25
Post by: greg on December 13, 2006, 09:13:44 AM
Hi all,

This may be a silly question, but I have not seen it answered before so I could understand it (which means that I may have missed it or are stupid).

My ISP (who also manages my internal firewall) have just closed port 25, which causes a large mail queue on my server (SME7, server only, with latest updates).

I was wondering whether I can change the default port 25 to, say, port 2525?
If so - how can I do that, as port-forwarding only works in server-gateway mode.

Thanks...

All best

/G

If 25 is closed

1. you can't recieve mail, except with fetchmail/getmail

2. you have to send mail through the ISP
see the email panel for a field to complete

you may need to change isp's, complain loudly
