Title: How can I further block SPAM?
Post by: cyberlair on December 14, 2006, 06:45:51 PM
Hi I am having allot of spam coming in on 2 mail accounts. I'm running SME 6.0 Beta 3 with Spamassassin 3.1.6. I have spamassassin set to very high. How can I block the spam further? Can I filter the email through the SME 7 firewall and then to the mail server SME 6?

Thanks for any help.

The most effective way would be to upgrade to sme7 as it has much better spam & virus rejection built in by default.

If that upgrade is not possible at this stage, then at least upgrade to sme6.0 final plus security updates (run yum) and then use the techniques in these how tos.

and as well, install Jesper Knudsens Spam Filter and Anti Virus panels.
