How do you install with SATA Controller because nothing is happening but it goes so far as loading Promise SATA driver but after that it reboot
-
Can you explain a bit more? i.e did you manage to install then it rebooted? or didn't it even get as far as the media check?!
Can you install centos 4.4? if not then its probably going to be hardware related

These 2 bugs might help you, but it does not look good.

Bug 1259 - Kernel panic ACPI enabled Asus NCCH-DL (dual Xeon/Intel E82875P/6300ESB)

Bug 1477 - Cannot Boot Intel D845PEBT2 with SATA Drive
Can you disable ACPI in the BIOS?
I run SME7 systems using 2 x SATA drives, so some do work!
Cheers

Also try disabling any onboard raid settings.

I also run 2 SME 7 servers running SATA drives and in general the 2.6 kernel is much better at supporting SATA drives.
