Title: mod_gzip
Post by: Michael Herger on February 19, 2002, 12:56:52 AM
Hi!

I wanted to install mod_gzip to speed up httpd (those logs are _huge_!). I tried to follow the instruction on the HOWTO pages (http://myezserver.com/docs/mitel/apache-mod_gzip-howto.html), but the referenced rpm archive is no more available. Does anyone still have it on his computer? Or does anybody have another solution to have mod_gzip run?

I also installed the modules from http://www.remotecommunications.com/apache/mod_gzip/ (the creators of mod_gzip), but it crashed my httpd...

Regards, Michael

redhat.com has links to RPM libraries for 7.1. Go to the downloads page and follow the link to mirror sites at the bottom of the page. You can find iso images for the entire library (about 600 meg), or individual RPMs available for download.
