Hi
With Fetch Mail accounts how can this work with the email client computer? Can thunderbird get the fetched mail in my client inbox? or will fetchmail only work via webmail ?
Thanks

Hi Agent86,
If you are refering to your users email on sme then Thunderbird can be used to collect the emails, just use mail.yourdomain.xxx or yourserverip for the pop3 and smtp server settings and the normal user name and password for the account. This only works within the local network unless you change the pop3 setting in server manager from "Allow private" to "Allow private and public (secure POP3S)" I hope this helps.
Regards,

Thanks for the response
I'm actually talking about fetchmail,in webmail there is a fetchmail settings which you can add other accounts so that you can receive lets say all the emails from lets say xxx@comcast.net and xxx222@comcast.net and whatever and including my normal user account for SME into my user inbox.
I do understand how to setup an email client and also the normal user of that SME for public mail which I am currently using.
Anyhow Horde has a fetchmail feature in which you can fetchmail from other accounts to my Horde / webmail inbox.
But for some reason the client does not seem to get the fetchmail for the other accounts until I physically go to webmail then either perform maintanence or click on fetch mail to receive the mail for the other accounts. The email client (thunderbird) or other will show the fetchmail emails in my inbox. But only after I physically go to webmail and click fetch mail or perform maint. on login.
Basically when you setup fetchmail for other accounts, has a note in red that while setting to perform maint. on login. I've done that as suggested in the setup of fetchmail. That way the fetchmail happens on login, but the client won't do the fetch mail when logging in.
I guess the question is: Is fetch mail suppose to get the fetchmail accounts when the client logs in or does this only work in webmail ?
Thanks for any help on this.

When the client is setup as an IMAP client and the webmail settings are setup correctly.
Is the Horde email system suppose to save the respondents email addresses or vcard in my Horde address book when sending mail via my client ?
Or does this only work when sending mail via webmail ?
Please advise
Thanks

Software which is part of horde/webmail has no opportunity to do anything at all unless you access webmail.

Thanks
Thats all i wanted to know thanks
I just was not sure by what was meant by login, cause the fetchmail happens or can happen on login, however the client also does a login and I was not sure if the client login would initiate a fetchmail for those other accounts
Thanks
