hello,
please i was wondering if i could get a bit of help.
was using a v-sat with my sme server and that was working but i no longer have that. please how can i run the sme server using a live ip addy provided by my isp. (ie where exactly do i go to make the required changes)?

A static IP ?
A registered domain name ?

well i have the domain registered and sorted already...
the isp is giving me a live ip address..
thats what i have at the moment.
do i need anything else??

Not that I can see. Just put the details in at zoneedit.
BTW, what is v-sat ?

very small aperture terminal(vsat): pretty much a dish with a reciever that give you internet access. quite secure actually.

So, what is providing your internet connection now ? ADSL?

yep.. through a telecomms company called suburban...
they are giving me a static ip addy which i can use
