Title: samba acl

Hi all

I'm playing with a fresh installed sme 7.0 in vmware environment and I've noticed that if I digit:

smbcacls -U myuser //myserver/myibay myfile

I got (after password):

REVISION:1
OWNER:MYDOMAIN\Domain Users
ACL:MYDOMAIN\myuser:ALLOWED/0/FULL
ACL:MYDOMAYN\Domain Users:ALLOWED/0/FULL
ACL:\Everyone:ALLOWED/0/R

If I try the same command on a Sme 7.1 with no contribs I always get:
failed tcon_X with NT_STATUS_BAD_NETWORK_NAME
cli_full_connection failed! (NT_STATUS_BAD_NETWORK_NAME)

same workgroup setup on each server: domain controller, no roaming profiles


samba rpms on 7.0:
[root@sme7test ~]# rpm -qa | grep -i samba|sort
e-smith-samba-1.14.0-07
samba-3.0.10-1.4E.6
samba-client-3.0.10-1.4E.6
samba-common-3.0.10-1.4E.6

kernel on 7.0: 2.6.9-34.ELsmp


samba rpms on 7.1:
[root@e-smith ~]# rpm -qa | grep -i samba|sort
e-smith-samba-1.14.0-14.el4.sme
samba-3.0.10-1.4E.9
samba-client-3.0.10-1.4E.9
samba-common-3.0.10-1.4E.9

kernel on 7.1: 2.6.9-42.0.3.EL

any hint? it's a bug or a feature?

What can I check to have on 7.1 the same behaviour?

Yes, please post a bug report.

I would also compare the resulting Samba configuration files (/etc/samba/smb.conf) on both installations.
