Hi Every one:
Got a problem. Though it is not a good Idea My client needs SMTP relay through an
SME-7 serer. The client has monitoring equipment that is located all over the world and will only smtp. He would like to SMTP on a SME-7 server with the mail accounts of clients. The SME-7 server is setup as the mail server to send and receive. If a CC to the email is sent a copy will be placed on the server, but the email will not be delivered to the clients email destination not on the SME-7 server. What we have been trying to do is open the smpt to the public port until the equipment manufacture can fix the problem. :?

Configure them to send smtp to an SMTP which is local to them, and allows relaying - e.g. the ISP's SMTP server, or an SMTP server on the LAN at the remote site.

I agree. The ISPs also want SSMTP. This is a work around until we can get the equip.
man. to change the way his equp. e-mails a report. If the equipment was inside, "a private connection" to the network, no problem. I know this is stupid, but I am left with no other choice. Also there could be many ISPs and my client wants the setups to match so his techs can setup the equipment with out having to contact the ISP's. Really an Imap would do the JOB The equipment will connect to OUTLOOK with CDO :? . Have been trying it with no success.
Thank you for the response
