Title: Re-installing blades
Post by: Steve M on February 22, 2002, 02:33:02 AM
I am running the latest version of e-smith and the problem that i have is this.
after having to rebuild my e-smith i restored my latest backup all seems fine except for the MP3 blade says it is an incomplete install so i try to remove it but it wont let me giving me this message:-   Error: Other system components depend on the SMEServer-Blade-MP3Jukebox-1.2.1-02.noarch.rpm package.

The MP3Jukebox-1.2.1 blade could not be uninstalled.

Click here to return to the blades list.

Is there a way of re-installing this blade as the i am unable to use it due to it being incomplete.

Thanks for any help.

Steve

If you really want to delete it, use the --nodeps option with rpm.
This should get rid of it for you as it turns off dependancy checking.

Or you could try and refresh the install by using the -U option, this will update an already installed rpm.
