Moving this topic to the SME 7.x contribs forum, it is more appropriate there. Thanks!

I have had reasonable luck searching the SME 7.x contribs section using "announce" as the search term. It makes it a little easier to sort out what I am looking for.

Thanks guys! The 'announce' search seems to be working fine! Although I still am confused about backup2ws vs backup2 or backup2 with DAR. I backed up my 6.01.01 system, but am unable to restore it on the 7.1 system. The backup is smeserver.tgz file. Any thoughts?

Look like a normal backup to desktop backup judging on the filename.

backup2 with DAR? Are you referring to smeserver-dar2?  If so, it has replaced the other 2 and they are no longer supported.

And cactus is correct.  smeserver.tgz is the standard file name.ext for a regular "Backup to desktop".
