Hello,
On a SME server 7.0 I run updates yesterday from web manager. Today, no smtp connection is possible anymore, all I get is:
550 Connection from you denied, bye bye.
Connection to host lost.
After that, I am disconnected. Any ideas plase?

Radu

Hello,
I figured out what happend, after I've reinstalled from scratch. It appears that when I applied patches (from 7.0 to 7.1, in web console), the update program did not place the local file in /var/service/qpsmtpd/config/peers. All I had in this folder was links according to NIC's, but not the local file

Did you report this to the Bug Tracker? if not could you please do so that anyone else hitting this problem will know a fix is being put in place if needed. Thanks!

My problem below is solved:

signal-event post-upgrade
signal-event reboot
Solved the problem.
I have a similar problem, I receive mail Ok but get a message:
An error occured sending mail: The mail server sent out an incorrect greeting: COnnection from you denied, bye bye..
when sending.
My provider communicates exclusiely in French, so I am convinced for te moment it comes from SME.
I do not understand the suggested solution. Can anyone clarify, try to help?
Many thanks
