Title: Change host name - Newbie Question
Post by: Blackbox on February 07, 2007, 07:50:45 AM
Hi Everyone,
Currently my SME server is configured with a host name called "mail".

I need to change the host name to "mailer" for MX records reasons. The reason being that my public server is called "mail" and now, I am going to put my SME live.

If I add another hostname called "mailer" in the hostnames section, leaving "mail" as the primary one, will this solve my problem?

If not, how can I change the primary host name from "mail" to "mailer"

Any help is appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Log in as admin on a server shell (terminal or SSH) and configure your hostname to be mailer per the configure option.
