So centos updates is enabled by default?

My concerns .. cause i installed a new kernel but there aren't any kernel modules for it.

And i saw a bind rpm update are these safe to update?

Are they sme compatibles? cause between versions config files may change and i don't want to screw up my system.

bind-libs.i386                           20:9.2.4-24.EL4        updates
bind-utils.i386                          20:9.2.4-24.EL4        updates
kernel.i686                              2.6.9-42.0.8.EL        updates
kernel-smp.i686                          2.6.9-42.0.8.EL        updates

All af the updates are safe to install. Only testing repository is for testing purposes only. Updates won't mess up your sistem and should be installed ASAP.
