Sme is new to me and im having abit of trouble. I have set up a proxy everything works great :D. Now i want to add smb_auth so my windows users authenticate installed it no problem then discovered that the install directory is different on sme for samba in the make file
# SAMBAPREFIX must point to the directory where Samba has been installed.
# By default, Samba is installed in /usr/local/samba. If you changed this
# by using the --prefix option when configuring Samba, you need to change
# SAMBAPREFIX accordingly.
SAMBAPREFIX=/usr/local/samba
I am find that most things arnt in the normal places. I no enough of linux to get me around but this has stumped me. Were is the directory im looking for on sme server 7.1? I have configured samba and its running i can see it my windows domain, so yes samba is installed and running !
I also installed webmin and this also has trouble as everything seems to be located in different places.
Can any1 help me with this?
Is there a pooled area were all apps are on sme 7.1?
Thanks in advanced

Webmin is not supported on SME due to the way SME Server works.

could you shed any light on the directory i need?

You don't need to do anything special to allow windows users to authenticate against SME server. Samba is alread installed, configured and running.
Please read the user guide thoroughly.
