Title: Strange behaviour after yum updates
Post by: dan-apn on February 14, 2007, 03:13:50 PM
Hi all,

Having some strange behaviour following a YUM update on SME 7.1 as below:

------YUM Update---------
Jan 22 17:06:52 Updated: spamassassin.i386 3.1.7-36.el4.at
Jan 22 17:06:53 Updated: rkhunter.noarch 1.2.8-4.el4.sme
Feb 09 14:43:17 Updated: bind-libs.i386 20:9.2.4-24.EL4
Feb 09 14:43:19 Updated: postgresql-libs.i386 7.4.16-1.RHEL4.1
Feb 09 14:43:55 Installed: kernel.i686 2.6.9-42.0.8.EL
Feb 09 14:43:56 Updated: fetchmail.i386 6.2.5-6.el4.5
Feb 09 14:43:57 Updated: bind-utils.i386 20:9.2.4-24.EL4
Feb 09 14:44:29 Installed: kernel-smp.i686 2.6.9-42.0.8.EL
Feb 09 14:55:51 Updated: dbus.i386 0.22-12.EL.8
Feb 09 14:55:52 Updated: dbus-glib.i386 0.22-12.EL.8

I am now having trouble with the following:

- A site I run in an ibay needs Register_Globals = On. I have done the set-prop to enable it, and it is showing up in the db as On, but the website is still producing an error asking for Register_Globals to be set to on ??

- Various sites on the server use a www-authenticate: Basic to protect various realms. These are now not working either. Auth pop up appears fine, but none of my old passwords are working for any of these.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Thanks

Dan

after the update, did you do the reconfigure option in the server manager?  The system needs to rebuild the templates and reboot to enable the changes that the updates made.
