Hi,
what is the "official" list of repositories to be enabled on an SME7.1 standard installation? It looks like this list is different on SME7.1 to servers that have been upraded from 7.0 to 7.1?
I am not talking about additional repositories that people use to install additional software.
The list of repositories on 7.1 seems to have enabled the "updates" repository (= CentOS updates) after a fresh installation but this repo is disabled by servers upgraded from 7.0 to 7.1.
If the "updates" repo is enabled, there are various yum updates available currently (incl. a newer kernel) but I was reading somewhere that some dependent packages seem to be missing in this updates directory (which seems to break VPN?
Thanks for any help,
Michael

Use the search function and use your topic when you search. I have answered this question at least three times and this was only brom me. Then you have the anounce post about 7.1 and it's changes and so on.

Thanks - that helped me to find the information that I wanted. I have to learn to search! Had searched for "reposit" thinking that would cover repository or repositories but had no hit.
Judging on this thread http://forums.contribs.org/index.php?topic=35686.0 I better do NOT enable the updates directory at this stage.

You should have the following repositories enabled (blue)
CentOS
CentOS - updates
SME Server - addons
SME Server - OS
SME Server - updates.
DO NOT enable "SME Server - updates testing" unless
(1) it is a TEST server NOT a production server
(2) you want to be part of a bug-testing group.
Cheers
