Title: deleting old kernels
Post by: OzMoosis on February 23, 2007, 10:44:20 AM
Hi,

after a number of updates I've found I now have 10 different kernels installed, from 10.6.9-34 to 2.6.9-42.0.8.

I'm wondering whether it's necessary and/or safe to uninstall the older kernels, up to and including the -42.0.2 version.

I've already found that this command should work:

# rpm -e kernel_I_want_to_delete

Is that correct?

Thanks for any help,

Oz

Oz,
There's a bug report discussing this very situation:
