Post by: captain on February 27, 2007, 07:19:20 PM
hi all

i'm a newbie to linux and sme...anyway... the problem is this..

got sme 7.0rc running in gateway and server mode being fed by cable modem.

some websites i'm able to visit but others i can't...the sites are ok...i tested it by connecting directly to the modem..

when connect back to sme i get an error web page cant be found...

i can ping the gateway but not the site in question(amazon.com)

any help is greatly appreciated

I think you've posted this twice.

No ping to amazon.com, what is the reply you get ? Can you ping the website by its ip-address ?

ping to amazon.com gives:

ping amazon.con(72.21.210.11) 56(84) bytes of data
from (server)(ip address) icmp_seq=2 Destination Host Unreachable
