Post by: sunil1981 on March 02, 2007, 09:25:36 AM
Hi

I have  a X-226 IBM server and I want to install Linux on this server.
But I am not able to get the option boot from CD ROM.
I have also check the set up menu and I made the changes there also under startup options as first bootable device as CD -ROM.
But no result at all. It always start with the existing  windows OS.
I have also check the scsi utility.

Please help.

Regards

Usually one of the F1-12 buttons pops up the boot menu, if that doesnt work either your cd drive is defective or your cdrom disk is bad.
Another options is to erase the harddisk and it should autoboot the cdromdrive.

I have a 206 and boots fine from cd.

You sohuld check your cd in another computer. It might be faulty.
