Hi Folks,

One of the more common features that I install on my customers' SME servers is a PDF network printer.

As I am not clever enough to roll my own RPMs, I have updated my howto for installing a network PDF printer starting with Steve Ognenovski's latest RPM for SME 7.  Thank you Steve.

These are some of the fixes/mods I make in the howto:

correct placement of printpdf script
fixed smb.conf
PDF files dumped in pdfdrop file share instead of web space
corrected permissions on pdfdrop I-bay
simplified printer driver setup option
change name of PDF printer to 'pdf' instead of sme7pdf'
added instructions for Acrobat Distiller PPD file so that PDF printer is properly defined when using Adobe Distiller printer driver

I mostly keep this howto for my own use, but it may help others...

Thanks a lot for your fixed howto !

Could these corrections be inserted in the original rpm ? That would be lovely !

Dusting off the RPM Dev book as I type. Maybe a new release by the weekend.
