Title: smserver7.1.2 - New setup, inaccessible frm External network

Hi,

I have just setup a new smeserver 7.1.2 and configured as a server and gateway with the latest update. In the internal network, i have no problem for the internet access.

Please help, how do i resolve this error?

Hi daley,

Can you maybe expand on what is happening and what your setup is, such as internet connection type, hardware etc. I am not clear about what is actually happening or not happening.

And when you do, please do it in the bug tracker. It should "just work". If it doesn't, it should be fixed. The way to get things fixed is to provide details via the bug tracker.

Like del,  I am not completely sure what the issue is, but if I understand correctly you are not able to access the server-manager panels from outside your LAN?

If that is the case, you did enable it from the server-manager panel right?
From the server-manager page, find the Remote Access tab under the Security section. Be sure that you added a valid address in the remote management section.

If I am incorrect at guessing your error, I apologize.

I am not able to access my smeserver from outside of my LAN, such as http, email and as well as server-manager, but true is, the internet connection was up.

Example, you open up browser to the site, the browser replied you with you "web site found, waiting for reply"...., at last, page timed out, page not able to display.

Today, it is ok without doing anything, but website page take a little while to show up, the broadband internet connection is quite free.

This is confuse.

My broadband internet connection speed is ok.

The requested URL could not be retrieved

While trying to retrieve the URL: http://www.xyz.com (smeserver domain name)

The following error was encountered:

    We can not connect to the server you have requested.

This means that:

    * The server might be busy at this time.
    * The server is not reachable.


Please try later to see if you can go through.
