Title: yum using 100% CPU

Anytime I run any kind of yum command yum locks my server down 30 40 mins @ 80 - 100% cpu usage. It started this after 7.01 was updated from the software installer. I've search all over but can't find any info on what could be causeing this.  This is a production machine so caution is being taken.
