Title: Does workstation backup hold RAID data?
Post by: sgt-spam on March 27, 2007, 03:57:43 PM
I plan on migrating to SME 7 via rsync from an old 6 box to 7, backing up the new 7 box, wiping and installing 7 on the old 6 box, and then restoring data from the 'temp' 7 box to my dedicated 7 box.

My concern is RAID data possibly captured in the workstation backup.

The current 6 box uses disk mirroring, and the temporary 7 box does not.

Will I be OK to backup / restore in this fashion?

Yes it will be ok. The only difference would be that in raid mode you have another disk for backup and you won't have one on you SME 7 backup.

Thank you.  :)

The rsync worked fine, just wasn't sure about backup.
