Title: console created accounts...
Post by: ltwally on March 30, 2007, 04:45:25 PM
I created a system account via the linux console's "adduser" command.

Its integration (and lack of-) with the E-Smith stuff was interesting.
1. Able to log on to shell (of course)
2. Able to send and receive internal mail messages via the linux "mail" command.
3. Able to log on to the webmail.

4. Does not appear in the /server-manager/.
5. Cannot receive mail from the outside world.

So... is there any way to integrate a linux-shell account with E-Smith, so that 4 & 5 work, without deleting the account and re-creating it in /server-manager/ ??

There's no easy way.
