Title: Mailing list (actually newsletter) advice requested
Post by: MSmith on April 03, 2007, 06:23:53 AM
I know there are active contribs for both ezmlm and mailman (thanks much Gormand Pty Ltd for keeping these alive!) and I'm soliciting comments on which would be more suited for a newsletter-only setup, with attachments.

The number of emails over time is important also; I route through my ISP and don't wish to trip an antibulk filter.  Am I correct to believe that mailman can't be throttled and neither can ezmlm, but that in the case of the latter that qmail can spread out the delivery?

Experiences, anyone?

Never got any responses; does nobody use mailing list management software?

Hi MSmith
I use ezmlm as mailing list, and work very well. With ezmlm you or anyone registered can send one message, and ezmlm reply to all recipients of the list. You can use as newsletter manager, but there are other products more specific for newsletters, as phplist.

For your purpose I suggest phplist. www.phplist.com

Thanks for your recommendation.  My review of the PHP mailing list managers indicated to me a problem with offline execution of the actual sending; I'll review PHPList again.
