Hello everyone,
I am getting deferral messsages for email sent to a particular domain - see messages below from the /qmail/current log file:
========================================================
new msg 4709469
info msg 4709469: bytes 768 from qp 24553 uid 8
starting delivery 303: msg 4709469 to remote dgay@pahomes.org
status: local 0/10 remote 2/20
delivery 303: deferral: Connected_to_208.49.216.87_but_connection_died._(#4.4.2)/
==========================================================
Only having this problem to this domain - all other mail seems to be going out just fine. Also, folks at this domain can SEND to me, and I can RECEIVE from them - but when I try sending to them this is what happens. Then the emails just sit in the queue - I guess till the TTL expires (10 day?).
Anyone have any ideas? Thanks for your help.
Regards,
Patrick

Hey everyobdy,
After doing some of my own troubleshooting and research - I think the problem is on the other end. It's a problem with the remote mail server killing or dropping the connection for some reason. Not sure why...if I knew, obviously I would post.
I have contacted the remote mail server admin and he is looking into the problem. I'll post what I find out.
Regards,
Patrick
