Title: install fail on raid install
Post by: pbearne on April 11, 2007, 02:22:02 PM
Hi Guys

I am tring to install onto and old Quad xeon with 5 hards disks

But the install keeps returning an out of disk space error will tring to copy the  files I bileve the disk are 9g in size so this feels wrong as even if they were 1g I would still have 3g of usable space after the hot spare and and raid parity.

Has abody got any ideas as how to solve this?

Was there an OS on the drives before? If so, you may have to zero out the drive before installing.

Recently in another post it came out that the SME 7.0 installation deals better with raid then 7.1

Might that be a solution for you ?
