I need at least version 4.4.1 of PHP.
I run a Fully Modded phpBB forum and i dont get support if i dont meet the requierments wich is PHP 4.1 or greater.
Is there a guide other then with PHP 5.16 and is on french, because when i tried it i didnt get to access my server-manager panel :D
And i did get some PHP errors
-
PHP Version 4.3.9 is the one in SME.
You can see your PHP configuration by creating a php page in your site with the following:
<?php
// Show all information, defaults to INFO_ALL
phpinfo();
// Show just the module information.
// phpinfo(8) yields identical results.
phpinfo(INFO_MODULES);
?>
then visit this page to see what your parameters are.

Yes i know wich version it is i see it also in my forum :D
And thet means that i cant moderate a forum :D
I have too old version to get support from that forum :wink:
Did i make my self clearer?
-
Sorry, but you're using a higher version of PHP.
So that makes you eligible for support, since it seems that you need to get help from the forum itself and not from SME?
What exactly are you trying to do? Upgrade to PHP5?
-
Yes if i could find a english version :D
The french version sucks.

humm, upgrades...upgrades.
I'll see if I still have these packages.
You can always google for them.
-
I see they have released Cent OS 5 so i can hope it will come to SME In the future
But if you have the time to find them it would be great
And sorry it was 4.4.1 not 4.1 :D
-
OK, I still have the rpm's.
I did not test this functionality against newer releases of SME, last I tried was 7.1.

Well, thats nice of you.
I take it that it worked? Just remember that further upgrades with yum may not be smooth sailing.
As for a donation, donate to the SME project. http://www.smeserver.org/index.php?option=com_wrapper&Itemid=34
