Title: How do I start an app after a reboot?
Post by: CKConsulting on April 18, 2007, 08:19:43 PM
I'm trying to start zabbix-agentd automatically after a reboot.

I can start the service with
Code: [Select]
/etc/init.d/zabbix-agentd start
and all works fine.

I tried editing the file /etc/rc.d/rc.local with following but it did not work.
Code: [Select]
#!/bin/sh
#
# This script will be executed *after* all the other init scripts.
# You can put your own initialization stuff in here if you don't
# want to do the full Sys V style init stuff.

touch /var/lock/subsys/local
/etc/init.d/zabbix-agentd start

Thanks
Rick

Start by reading about run-level 7 and the e-smith-service wrapper in the Developer manual:
