Title: mail user called mail

Hello all,

We have a client who uses the mail address of mail@soandso.com.

But is is not possible for me to create a user or pseudonym called mail.

The only way for me to get this working by using the "e-mail to unknown users" and forward that to the user who has to read  mail@soandso.com.

This causes several other problems of course I would like to prevent.

Is there a way to create a user or pseudonym called mail.

Did you try to create a pseudonym called mail@soandso.com?

Hello Charlie,

Thanks for the response.

If I try to make a pseudonym the screen returns with a red box containing the text : Operation status report
Error occurred while creating pseudonym in database

Here's an old post on creating "mail@...", "news@..." pseudonyms: http://forums.contribs.org/index.php?topic=32869.0

Basically, you must specify the entire email address in the "pseudonym" field, not just "mail" or "news" but "mail@soandso.com", "news@mysecondvirtualdomain.com".
