Title: Degraded /dev/md2
Post by: ltwally on April 27, 2007, 01:25:21 AM
I received this in this morning's mailbox.

Code: [Select]
This is an automatically generated mail message from mdadm running on mail.azpartsmaster.com.

A DegradedArray event has been detected on md device /dev/md2.

I ran mdadm --detail /dev/md1, which said,
Code: [Select]
mdadm: md device /dev/md1 does not appear to be active.

Anyone know where to go from here?

Title: rebuilt itself
Post by: ltwally on April 27, 2007, 05:10:17 PM
Apparently, it rebuilt itself.  A day later I run the same command (yes, I was targeting /dev/md2 -- I just mistyped it when I posted, here), it tells me the array is in raid1 and is healthy.

Gosh.  I'm so used to having to fix things, personally, that I almost don't know what to do when the box is smart enough to fix itself.  Well, there goes my job security....
