Hi there,
I have an smeserver. It was running 7.0 beta 9.
There was a network problem so I thought I wuld update to latest version 7.1.
Install seemed to go ok but on reboot I get a kernel panic. Before that I get RAID errors.
no devices found for /dev/md1
no devices found for /dev/md2
If I use the disc to boot into rescue mode, it seems to auto generate the raid and I can see my files.
My mdadm.conf is quite minimal
device partitions
mailaddr root
array /dev/md2 super-minor=2
array /dev/md1 super-minor=1
I don't want to rebuild server yet. If the CD can see the raid it must be recoverable.
Thanks for help in advance.

I modified fstab to see if I could boot the drive as a normal ext3 drive
Now even in rescue mode it cannot mount /dev/md1
It can mount /dev/md0 which is the boot partition
So I cannot re-modify fstab
If I try to mount /dev/md1 it tells me
failed : device or resource busy

The problem is that i can't mount that partition under any system.
I'm currently running trinity rescue and using photorec to get fiels off. I think the partition is gone for good :(
