Title: Samba file sharing with W2K Active Directory authentication
Post by: charlies on May 13, 2007, 08:34:27 PM
I have an existing W2K Active Directory server providing network authentication (and other services) and I would like to setup a simple file sharing SME server using IBays to provide shared access to data. Presently, I can see the server on the network, but all attempts to view IBays results in an Access is Denied error message. What steps do I need to take in order to have my SME server authenticate IBay access via my Active Directory server?

IMHO, if you neeed only file-sharing, you'd better use something like freenas.. it provides native A.D. auth on shared files.
