Title: cpu speed

I changed my cpu, how can I tell if it is running at the correct speed?

at boot up watch the screen and as the system does post it will tell ya the speed of the processor along with memory count and drives etc etc

yyou can also parse the dmesg log. All the info displayed during bootup is saved there, and it's a lot easier to read when the text isn't flying by.
