I know this a well worn topic and I apologize for the noise. I have read the HowTo:UpgradeDisk page. It seems reasonable but I am a lazy man.
I have a machine with SME 7.1 ready to go. It does not have an open drive bay; both are in use.
The old SME 6 holds a fair amount of data in mysql and ibays but serves only about 20 users. I have abused and cluttered this machine for years.
I would like to:
A. import users to create accounts
B. move selected mysql databases to the new machine
C. move the ibays to the new machine
Is there a way to export/import users?
Will simple file copy work for B & C?
Thanks, in advance.

Yeah, and I'm too lazy to provide a second way for you to do it, since you're too lazy to try the first.

You are an esteemed member of the community. I didn't realize my question would be unwelcome and deserving of disdain. I apologize for asking.

Now that I have stopped smarting from Charlie's comments, I think an apology is in order. Charlie was right in his response. A lot of effort went into the restore process, and it is the easiest way to migrate to a new server.
Furthermore, my question was poorly stated to begin with. I failed to mention that during the SME 6 era I hacked at my server a lot, made plenty of mistakes and there is a lot of dead files scattered about. I don't want to replicate the mess, so my interest is in moving only a small percentage of files. I assume that the restore process is comprehensive, so I will seek a manual way to handle my situation.
