Title: lat on sme 7.1.3
Post by: tariqf on May 15, 2007, 10:11:06 PM
I had sme 7.1 and used lat smeserver-lazy_admin_tools-0.9.1-2.noarch.rpm to add all my users via a text file. This worked perfect. I have since upgraded to 7.1.3 and now whenever I try to use lat to add users it gives me some stange output regarding passwords and adds the users etc. but does not set the password properly.

example output:

lat-users -a -p -c "test16 | Ron | Weasley |||||||||| quiddich "
Creating user account for test16 (Uid:6142).
code is 1, ans is 0.dnkHM., msg is New password: , state is 1
code is 1, ans is 0.dnkHM., msg is Retype new password: , state is 1
Adding user 'test16' to group 'quiddich'.

What can I do to fix the password problem? There is no bugzilla place for the lat contrib so I'm posting here.

Lat works fine for me, the problem with the password may be related to the strenght set. There's a bug already open for that.
Change the strenght either via the password contrib or via command line and try again. You can also try changing your password via server/user-password and see if it works, if not...
