Hello all. I have been running 7.1 ever since it came out. I am a computer consultant and have converted my latest client to SME as well as running SME at home. It works flawless.
I have been watching the list of updates grow over the last few months. I am usually of the opinion if it is not broken, dont update it.
I will upgrade on a dot 2 version or a whole number version (ie. 7 to version 8).
When might we see a 7.2 iso?
OH, I think SME is the best thing since the Hula Hoop!

There is never an announced time line on SME server. It is a case of it will be released when it is ready. If you are so inclined, I know they can use help in the development side of this.

When might we see a 7.2 iso?
I believe the first very alpha release of 7.2 has been released today: http://mirror.contribs.org/smeserver/releases/testing/7/iso/

That's not true. I have a SME 7.2 ISO from April (ca. 500 MB) and have updated that "old" version with yum update on a test system yesterday to the latest updates. Yesterday I also found a new version 7.2, which was a few days old (512 MB) and after your posting I saw another version from today with 513 MB.
BTW: The "alpha" does IMHO not correspond to the state alpha->beta->(gamma)->released, but I think, that this ISO is for computers with an alpha processor!
(Edited the ISO sizes)

These ISO images are certainly alpha releases and not ment to be alpha architecture releases as they are in the testing folder.
Also this message was posted on the updatesteam mailinglist on the 20th of May 2007 by Ian (one of the main developers):
The first Alpha ISO for 7.2 is now available, thanks to Shad. It can be
found in the releases/testing/7.2 tree at your local mirror, eg
http://mirror.contribs.org/smeserver/releases/testing/7.2/iso/
The main highlight is that it includes the CentOS 4.5 update in addition
to the previously planned updates. Please report breakage in the Bug
Tracker, but general feedback is also welcome on this list to see if
this version should be spread more widely
I'll report more on the contents at a later date - happy testing.

Thank you all. I got the 7.2 version (from the above mentioined testing folder).
I will be installing it on a non production machine, by this weekend if all goes well.
SME is a great product. Oh, and I always donate. Its only right!
