Is it possible to add a second NIC to the system.
Like to hear if annyone succeeded.

Having a second NIC in the system is one of the standard configurations - we call it "dedicated server-gateway". However, perhaps you mean, second NIC for a local LAN. In that case, no.  The system would need to be modified slightly to support that configuration.
