Title: Additional Admin
Post by: elgoth2003 on June 01, 2007, 04:10:31 PM
I was wondering if there was a way to make a additional admin account or almost a sub-admin account. Reason being is that a job I have in a few weeks, their system administrator will probably change the password to something easy rather than the password we assign her on file.

That is exactly what I was looking for Del, thanks alot but now it won't let me into server-manager. it gives me a popup window and "Authentication Required" so I'll log in with admin and it will give the same popup window..any thoughts???

This is a known bug.
Close your browser and then try again.

This happens when you try to log into server manager with any other created user other than admin.

The proper way of using this contrib:
You should use this contrib by geting into server manager as admin and setting the access to server-manager panels for user accounts under user pannel access.
Then login to http://youserver/user-manager as another user and you'll see the new options there.

Hi elgoth2003,

I have not used this contrib. I had just read about it. If you search on here there seems to be a couple of people having the same problem. Have a look and see if there is a work around, or wait until S Noble (the contributor) sees this and maybe has an answer. Sorry I can't be more help.

Regards,
Del

Nope, don't sit and wait... report it to the SME contribs section of the bugtracker, his contrib should have a entry there. He will then be notified of the problem...

From the search I have done it appears that it already has been reported
