Title: Yum update killed my server?
Post by: Drifting on June 04, 2007, 05:40:49 PM
Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, admin and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

I can get to the console via putty, but cannot make any changes without the above error?

Paul.

I suppose you already rebooted, so stopping / starting anything would be pointless.

If this is the output of the webpage, I should check the errorlog (/var/log/httpd/error_log). If this is the output of the server-manager (https), I would check /var/log/httpd/admin_error_log.

One of those two will give you some clue about what's not working.

I've updated yum and have no problems.
