Title: SME Server as a router for wireless ISP service
Post by: joebowen on June 08, 2007, 01:40:34 PM
We recently purchased a WISP company and are considering replacing our router with an SME server.

We currently serve 95 customers over a Motorola Canopy network. Look for that to grow to several hundred. One of the main reasons to use SME is I thought it would give me an excellent place from which to monitor customer activity and avoid the need for a Cisco setup. Any feedback about how to monitor packets and bandwidth usage in this manner would be greatly appreciated.

Is this a good idea? Anyone have pros and cons to share?
