Title: SAN solution
Post by: greg on June 08, 2007, 11:10:10 PM
Hi all,

I am considering to add a HP StorageWorks EVA6000 2C4D to our LAN where SME-server is our heart and brain.
Do anybody have experience or advices on how using this SAN could work?
I have found this centos-related discussion, ( http://lists.centos.org/pipermail/centos/2006-November/072697.html ), but am not sure whats relevant concerning SMEserver. There are several threads concerning red-hat, and HP claims it works well with RHEL4 ( http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&product=470384&docname=c00365743 )

Do anybody have inputs...

Thanks

/G

As to brand type etc. No. Although we use EVA's with RH4.4 extensively at work.

smeserver supports iscsi fine, you just need to install the iscsi-initiator-utils from the centos base repository.
