Title: Selintra/Sail and SME
Post by: achandra on July 13, 2007, 08:53:27 AM
Hello all,

It has been a while. I have a customer that wants SAIL on SME and I havent kept up to determine what is the most stable version.

Specifically I need clear how to.

I will be using broadvoice as a carrier, and the box will be setup as a server/gateway, and will host mail/webmail.

BTW to add to the mix, is it a really bad idea to use the same box to authenticate windows hosts internally and use it for shared file access?

Can you folks help out?

Hi,

Installation guide is here...

re box usage.  In general, it is not a good idea to co-host other applications on the PBX.  Asterisk does not like excessive disk I/O.  You can get away with it on a lightly loaded system but hardware is cheap enough these days to make it not worth the risk, especially for a customer system.

Kind Regards
