Post by: Dr_pepper on March 17, 2002, 08:57:01 AM
I download the SSH cleint from SSH's website but when I try to connect I get connection failed.  I do have ssh enabled. I have tried to use the computer, the domain name and the ip address and I keep getting connection failed.  Any suggestions

Which SSH client?
A number of them act as telnet clients as well, so you need to ensure that it is set as ssh using port 22.

You may find Darrell May's Webconsole approach easier to use....

Also, if you are trying to connect from the outside to the server-manager, you could use HTTPS by enabling the setprop for ValidFrom. That's how I connect the the server-manager. I do use SecureCRT for Root logons though.
